Ravi / Sun is the presiding deity of the Zodiac sciences. 

Soma / Chandra / Moon is the presiding deity of emotions. 

These two planets always are direct. They have no retrograde motion. They have no combustion period too.

Ravi stays in one house for 1 month. Soma stays in a house for 2.5 days.

Planet Shani / Saturn stays in one sign for 2.5 years on average. 

Planet Guru / Jupiter stays in one sign for 1.5 years.
