My articles published in Suguna Digest

My articles published in Suguna Digest

Suguna Digest is a magazine which is the divine initiate of Pujya Sri. Sugunendra teertha swami ji of Puttige Mutt. This initiative has been successfully running from 6 years now.  I have been blessed to be a published author to this spirituality magazine from the year 2013. This magazine has circulation in 3 countries so far, in India , USA and Australia. The almighty has been extremely graceful and merciful on me for having given me an opportunity to praise him in each of the issues of the magazine from the time of inception. It is such a humbing experience to be writing along side great knoelegeable people like Bannanje Govindacharya who is also among the biggest writers to this magazine. May the almighty ignore my flaws and continue to bless me. Here on this page, I will be posting articles one by one.

The power of the phrase “ Krishnarpanamastu “

We are required to perform various types of activities. Recognizing if an activity will lead us to bondage ( Samsara bandhana  )or will it lead us to liberation ( bandha mochana ) is very tricky. Even the seers, sages, the Supreme Lord himself are not free from Karma and duties. So we must practice our duties even when in doubt. Lord Krishna himself says, He is not bound by any karmic bondage to perform any duty. There is no one to question Him, still if He does not engage in his stipulated karma, all whole creation will follow him and perish eternally.

So how do we mortals become free of bondage of these activities? It is almost impossible to walk on a perfect path of duty. There are several external influences which might confuse us. There are several internal factors originating out of the Ari Shadvarga, and out of our Samskaras or instincts, and there are several other hurdles due to our ignorance.

So is BandhaMoksha, only the treasure of the spiritually enlightened? In kaliyug, it is almost impossible to find true spiritual enlightenment even by insurmountable efforts, so are the mortals to perish life after life as mere mortals? Even if there should be a marginal progress, the progress through Jnana marga or Yoga marga can be a very long journey. So if we contemplate on these lines, it is unfair that the sincere ‘ Moksharthis ‘ shouldn’t find an easy way. But the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna, has given us a very very easy way of getting rid of our karmic baggage.
Krishna says in Geeta

“ Whatever you do, whatever eat, whatever you offer, whatever you donate, including all your austerities, all your penance,  do that as an offering to Me. By this you will be completely free from the bondage of the result of your actions. And you will finally reach me as a liberated soul.”
If we consume anything without performing the Naivedya , Lord Krishna himself says, we are eating nothing but Sin. Supreme Lord calls such beings as “thieves”. In this way, even a vegetarian diet will not lead us to liberation if not offered to the Lord before being consumed. So this way, we must realize that we do not have the right over even a single grain of food that is not offered to God.
Lord Krishna says

पत्रं पुष्पं फलं तोयं यो मे भक्त्या प्रयच्छति
तदहं भक्त्युपहृतं अश्नामि प्रयतात्मन:

“ Be it a leaf, a flower, a fruit or water, if anyone offers to me with devotion, conquered by that devotion completely, I accept it and consume it ”.

So here we can comprehend, a simple phrase “ Krishnapranamastu”  said in the right time, said with the right mind, and full of devotion, can actually save us from hundreds of re-births. This is the simplest way to attain “BandhaMoksha” and it is granted to all of us by Lord Krishna himself. This phrase alone will elevate us to inordinate heights instantly in the journey towards liberation.
